Hu Kai leads men's 100m heats

(Beijing, May 22) China's Hu Kai clocked 10.29 seconds, his best result this season, to finish first in the men's 100m Round Two of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 China Athletics Open, which kicked off today at the National Stadium.

After making it 10.44 in the first round, Hu Kai continued his form this evening to top the group in 10.29, only 0.01 more to earn an Olympic Qualification B berth.

Joshua Ross of Australia also clocked 10.29, his best result this year.

Wen Yongyi, Liang Jiahong and Zhang Peimeng of the host country also made the semifinals slated for tomorrow.
