Beijing, 22 May - Comments from the athletes after the women's 10000m final at the National Stadium on Thursday.
Zhang Yingying (CHN, MOG) - Gold Medalist
On her performance:
"Pretty good. I think I can do better in the Olympic Games."
On her feelings about the earthquake:
"I'm very sorry about that. The only thing I can do is practise harder and try to inspire their spirit. I hope people there can recover from this disaster and rebuild their homes."
On how she relaxes:
"My coach will help me, and for myself sometimes I just sing and play for relaxation."
Bai Xue (CHN, BJG) - Silver Medalist
On her performance:
"I think I did OK. It's not as good as I expected. My goal was to run under 31:30. But I didn't reach the goal. I didn't perform well mainly because I failed to work out a good strategy."
Zhou Chunxiu (CHN, JSU) - Fifth Place
On her performance:
"I wasn't myself, didn't reach my goal of 31:45. I fell, and it disrupted my pace. I won't participate in the 5000m or 10000m at the Olympics. I will concentrate on the marathon."
Xie Fang (CHN, JIN) - 17th Place
On her shape:
"I trained too hard last month, so I don't feel well today. I'm clear about my physical condition."
On her goal:
"Of course my goal is the Olympics, I still have the chance. It all depends on the qualifying tournament at the end of June."
On her performance:
"Since I don't feel good, I was not so confident in the middle of the race, especially when it came to the three kilometer mark."
