BEIJING, 22 May - Comments from Yao Yongguang (CHN, FJN), Tian Yingchun (CHN, HLJ) and Wang Like (CHN, SHD) after the men's shot put final at the National Stadium on Thursday.
Yao Yongguang (CHN, FJN) - Gold medallist
On his victory:
"I am quite disappointed, because I haven't reached the B standard, so I'm not qualified for the Olympic Games."
On the equipment:
"There is a little problem with the shot, because the diameter was too small. So most competitors today did not perform well."
On his future plan:
"I will train hard and take part in the Olympic Qualification event in June."
Tian Yingchun (CHN, HLJ) - Silver medallist
On his performance:
"I did very well. I have tried my best, because I have just recovered from an injury. It seems the Bird's Nest can bring me good luck."
On the Olympic Games:
"I am still not qualified yet. I still have one last chance, and I will do my best."
On the field:
"I am very satisfied with the field. It made me extremely excited."
Wang Like (CHN, SHD) - Bronze medallist
On his performance:
"I think I've performed well enough, as I've done adequate preparations for today. My teammates and I just want to do our best. I had an easy mindset."
On his future expectation:
"I am only 19, and I still have a long way to go to be up to the Olympic level. I need to try harder, and hopefully shot put will be a popular sport in China."
