(Beijing May 23) Olympic champion Liu Xiang clocked 13.46 seconds to cruise into the men's 110m hurdles final at the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 China Athletics Open this evening.

In tonight's semifinal, Liu jumped the gun in the first start and produced a reaction time of 0.165 in the second. It was his outstanding technique ensured the top finish in the group.

Ji Wei from the PLA clocked 13.53 in second while Shi Dongpeng of HBE also made the final in 13.55.

From forth to eighth in the semis were: Naito Masato of Japan, Xing Yanan, Yin Jing, Huang Hao and Xie Wenjun of China.
