Wang Jing setting sights on Olympic Games

(Beijing, May 23) With a time of 11.42 seconds Chinese sprinter Wang Jing grabbed the women's 100m title at the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 China Athletics Open this evening. By reaching the Olympic Qualification B of 11.42 she will have the chance to represent China in Beijing 2008 in the coming August.

Wild with joy, Wang said after the race that she was very happy with her performance as it was the best result she had ever achieved and it happened to be exactly the qualification B mark she needed for competing in the coming Olympic Games.

Speaking of what she expected from the Beijing Games, Wang hoped she could finish within 11.40 in the Olympic sprint.

Tomorrow she will also compete in the 200m heats.
