(Beijing, May 24) In the men's 4x100m relay heats of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 China Athletics Open this evening, China clocked 39.04 seconds to lead the group into the final.

The Chinese team consisted of Wen Yongyi, Zhang Peimeng, Hu Kai and Liang Jiahong, among whom three have reached the Olympic Qualification B Standard. In today’s Round 1 Heat 2 Liang Jiahong, the last to run, came from behind to outscore his Japanese counterpart by a mere 0.11sec.

Other teams into the final were: Sichuan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hong Kong China and Heilongjiang.

The men's 4x100m relay final is scheduled for tomorrow.
