BEIJING, 24 May - Comments from gold medallist Chantal Petitclerc (CAN), silver medallist Zhou Hongzhuan (CHN) and bronze medallist Jessica Galli (USA) at the women's T53/T54 1500m press conference at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Chantal Petitclerc (CAN) - gold medallist
On the odds of winning the gold medal at the Paralympics:

"It's a secret between me and my coach. I'm training very hard for the Games. I do not want to make a guess. After Athens 2004, the competition in this events is getting fiercer. Everybody is getting stronger. I hope I can have a good result in the future."

On how she is coping with the local conditions in Beijing:
"I am happy that the Good Luck Beijing Committee gave us such an opportunity to see the track and the venue 105 days before the Paralympics. We now know how to deal with the differences. We can go home and we know how to prepare (so that) we can have a better performance when we back."

On her opinion of the Chinese rivals:
"It is hard in the 1500m. I know the Chinese are working together (because) there is a lot of Chinese language (spoken) on the track. I know they were talking about me although I could not understand. It is their strategy. They are working together to win. I have a great finish and I am happy with it. I will try to train hard because I know the Chinese will train hard."

Zhou Hongzhuan (CHN) - silver medallist
On her performance:

"I feel very honoured today to compete with the gold medallist of the Athens Olympic Games (Chantal Petitclerc (CAN)). Success should be attributed to my whole team. I will improve my shortcomings and learn more from my rivals. I will try to do better in September."

Jessica Galli (USA) - bronze medallist
On her performance:

"I'm very happy with the results. It's great to be there."

On her goal for the Paralympics:
"I have competed in Sydney and Athens. Beijing will be my third Paralympics. I hope I can reach my best (in Beijing)."

On her rival, gold medallist Chantal Petitclerc (CAN):
"We've raced together a lot. I know her strength, and she also knows mine. I'm satisfied with third position (today)."

On her last 200m:
"I could always be very fast."

On the odds of winning the gold medal at the Paralympics:
"We never know whether I could win. (But) I really enjoy 1500m. It is a great race. I hope to have more opportunities to compete with the athletes of my class. I need to train hard."

On how she copes with the local conditions in Beijing:
"I share the same view with the gold medallist. I will come back in September. I will tell our team how to prepare after I go back home."
