BEIJING, 24 May - Comments from gold medallist Li Yanxi (CHN, HBE) and bronze medallist Wu Bo (CHN, HUA) after the men's triple jump final at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Li Yanxi (CHN, HBE) - Gold medallist

On his performance:

"I felt a little nervous today so I did not do very well actually, because yesterday I exerted all my strength. I have had a lot of competitions recently, which made me very tired. I need to adjust myself."

On pursuing the A standard:
"I have another qualification competition in Suzhou in June, and I'll strive for the A standard."

On his tactics:
"It mainly depends on what the coach tells me. A good result depends on one's capability rather than his techniques or luck."

On his rivals:
"Then performed just so so."

Wu Bo (CHN, HUA) - Bronze medallist

On his performance:

"I'm very unhappy about it. It's the second competition I have participated in since I changed my pace."

On his major problem:
"I am still troubled with my pace. I have to beef up training."

On his rivals:
"I was not affected when they overtook me, because they are really powerful. My biggest rival is still myself. I hope to do better at my pace."

On his goal:
"I was only one centimetre short of the A standard last year. I still have two chances before the Olympic Games, one is the Zou Zhenxian (CHN, national record holder) Challenger, the other is the Olympic qualifier in Suzhou."
