BEIJING, 25 May - Comments from gold medallist Jessica Hamill (NZL), silver medallist Yang Liwan (CHN) and bronze medallist Chen Liping (CHN) at the women's F34/35/55 shot put press conference at the National Stadium on Sunday.

Jessica Hamill (NZL) - Gold medalist

On her performance:

"I am very happy. It's my personal best and a New Zealand record. I aimed to achieve 7.00m and I did it."

On why she chose to compete in shot put:
"It's an individual event and I like it. It shows power. I also did other sports, but shot put is still my favourite. I have a lot of training that makes me more healthy."

On her performance:
"I am happy with my result. The Bird's Nest is favorable for my performance. The Chinese spectators gave me a big applause, and I am extremely happy. I should have focused more on my performance, so that I can get a better result."

On her future expectation:
"I expect to throw more than 7 metres in other competitions in the future."

Yang Liwan (CHN) - Silver medalist

On her performance:
"It's satisfactory. It's also my personal best. Today I have a little fever so the performance is quite satisfactory."

On why she chose to compete in shot put:
"I used to be a volleyball player without disability, but I got injured at training. I believe that sports are good for my health, besides shot put is an individual event and It's challenging for me."

Chen Liping (CHN) - Bronze medalist

On why she chose to compete in shot put:

"All my family members like sports and I like it too. It's challenging for people with disabilities but it's a good way for them to keep in touch with society."
