BEIJING, 25 May - Comments from gold medallist Xue Fei (CHN), silver medallist Hao Xiaofan (CHN, JSU), bronze medallist Bai Xue (CHN, BJG) and 12th place Sun Yingjie (CHN, BJG) at the women's 5000m press conference at the National Stadium on Sunday.

Xue Fei (CHN) - gold medallist
On her strategy for winning, because she didn't lead at the beginning:
"I didn't have a specific arrangement. I did what I had to do and I just played it by ear."

On whether three Chinese athletes will make the Olympic team:
"The result is not pleasing, none of us got tbe A standard, so l don't think so."

On the National Stadium:
"I feel comfortable with the track."

"It's beautiful and I leel the track is bouncy."

On her performance:
"The result is all right, but it's still not enough to qualify for the Olympics."

Hao Xiaofan (CHN, JSU) - silver medallist
On her performance:
"I don't think much of my result today. It is not good enough. Since I pit myself against four athletes who have reached the A Standard, I have no big expecation. I just tried my best to catch up with them, but unexpectedly I get the second place. Today's result will enhance my confidence in reaching the A Staodard in the future."

Bai Xue (CHN, BJG) - bronze medallist
On the 5000m race:
"I am a marathon runner so I don't think it's a long distance. I didn't hava any difficulties at all. Whenever you have difficulties, you just have to keep going."

On her performance:
"I'm not happy with my performance today. I'm a little tired."

On the reason she fell in love with this sport:
"Just because I began practicing this sport in junior high school."

Sun Yingjie (CHN, BJG) - 12th place
On her feeling:
"My feeling are mixed. I was confident. It's the victims of the earthquake in Sichuan that encouraged me to compete."
